I have experience as a UX Researcher in two game companies

During my time as a UX Researcher intern at GAMUCATEX, I was given more responsibility and was in charge of long-term projects from start to finish. This experience improved my ability to plan and execute user research methods, transcribe and analyze data, and present insights to other team departments. It also increased my ability to work in an agile way with cross-functional teams, delegate tasks, and communicate with relevant external stakeholders. Most of the data collection methods consisted of usability tests and interviews, where I learned to craft my skills by trial and error. Later, I further evolved my skills as a at Affecture. I now seek more experience to evolve and grow in the world of UX.

Master degree completed by UX student

I just graduated in June 2024, and I studied UX research and design

I have just graduated with an MSc in Information Studies from Aalborg University, where ethnographic research, contextual inquiries, qualitative surveys, interviews and usability studies were a part of the curriculum. Throughout my studies, I also learned about cognitive science and psychology. I conducted low (sketching) and high-fidelity (Axure RP 10) prototype testing and interviews at Hvidovre Hospital. This was to find a solution for their indoor navigation system. For my elective in Design Thinking, my fellow students and I designed a booking app to improve time management at the Practice and Innovation. Check out my portfolio.

Marketing experience at a digital commerce agency

As a previous SEO intern at Impact Extend A/S, I wrote advertorials in WordPress. I inserted the most relevant keywords and, via HTML and CSS, ensured that headlines had the right headers, such as H1 or H2. The images were compressed to a smaller size to ensure site speed, and I always remembered to give them alt-texts. I wrote about different topics, from cars to engagement rings. As a Marketing Automation Assistant, I created email newsletters in Salesforce and designed journey maps. I also helped manage data extensions or linked them to automated rules.

Almost a decade of experience in the service industry

Prior to my roles in marketing and UX research, I had different service jobs. I worked for a chain store named Ecigz and had independent shifts in 14 shops. This meant I was responsible for the security alarms, bookkeeping, providing customer service, and setting up the products while adapting to new surroundings. I was a full-time sales trainee at Petworld, selling and ordering products, publishing Facebook posts, and training new employees. Working in retail taught me how to converse with different types of people, observing and reading their tone of voice and body language and identifying their needs. It has strengthened my empathy skills and served me well later on during my UX job.

Web development background

In my teens, I knew I wanted to study and work with something IT-related and creative, so I studied web development for 2 years after completing elementary school. I learned how to code in HTML, CSS and PHP, build databases in MySQL and edit images in Photoshop. While my teachers did not use the term "UX", they taught me how to design websites based on usability, information architecture and how to choose background and text colours to enhance readability. This perhaps explains why I now know that UX is the primary field I want to pursue. To practise web development, I made websites that resonate with my interests. As you can see in the image, I am a movie buff.
