The Gamucatex team and I recently attended SpilBar56 an event that focuses on the global state of digital game preservation while also taking a look at the curation of the new exhibition #DKGame showcasing Danish digital games from the past six decades.
Although it wasn't initially intended as a day for conducting user research, I, being a #UXresearcher 🔎, had some testing methods ready just in case. As a result, the team Gamucatex and I ended up testing our game, Tectonics: On the Edge of War, and received some valuable feedback.
So, how did we manage to draw the attention of attendees to the game and our company? We requested the host Thomas Vigild to add us to the open mic announcements list and arrived in style dressed as Vikings!
This helped us to generate interest and curiosity among the attendees.
I met a lot of interesting and kind people at this event in a very comfy and stylish costume.
